This collection of Essays was first published by the WFA in 1998 in a booklet edited by Ann Clayton, the then Editor of the WFA's Journal, Stand To!.
The booklet was prefaced with an Introduction by Correlli Barnett, the immediate past President of the WFA.
John Terraine was the Founder President of the WFA from 1980-97. He was, arguably, pre-eminent in his field at that time and wrote a significant number of seminal works. These will be listed here as soon as possible. The Editor also hopes to include Correlli's superb Introduction to the Essays before too long.
