This is the first report on the series of events that were included in the programme undertaken by the WFA to commemorate the movement of the British Expeditionary Force to France in 1914.
Events were held in the South of England, and in Amiens and Arras in France.
Simon Gregor has produced a superb photo record of the commemorations, and these are shown below.

The first series of photographs show the events held in a wet London on 10 August 2014.

The final album shows slides of the WFA's Service of Remembrance at the CWGC's Faubourgd'Amiens cemetery, Arras later on 13 August 2014.
